JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – MTN South Africa is piloting the Shesh@5G MotorBike SIM Delivery Service.

This will enable customers in select areas of Johannesburg to receive their Shesh@5G SIM cards and Home internet connectivity packages within two hours.

Tania Ladopoulou, General Manager for Online and Telesales at MTN SA, said, “This is another ambition to bring seamless 5G Home connectivity to customers.”

“As South Africa’s best and strongest 5G network, we are focused on ensuring that our Home customers enjoy the best possible experience with the country’s most reliable and fastest 5G coverage.”

The Shesh@5G MotorBike SIM Delivery Service is described as working simply and efficiently.

Customers place an order through MTN’s digital platforms, a scooter arrives at their location with their Shesh@5G SIM card or Home connectivity package, and customers can conveniently self-RICA using the new MTN app.

Once activated, customers are online and connected within minutes.

“This is not just about faster service, it’s about inclusion,” said Ladopoulou.

“We believe that everyone deserves a modern connected life, and they shouldn’t have to wait for it.”

MTN plans to scale the service nationwide.

The initiative follows the recently announced  Smartphone For All initiative where over 1,2 million customers will receive 4G smartphones  for R99.
