JOHANNESBURG(CAJ News) – MCDONALD’S Big Tasty is now available in South Africa for a limited time only.

The fast food chain announced the return of the burger earlier in July.

It launched alongside a limited edition collaboration with iconic South African streetwear brand, GALXBOY.

“We’re celebrating the return of the Big Tasty with a powerful statement, food and fashion can both bring people together, and this collaboration is our way of staying connected with the next generation of trendsetters,” said Krean Maistry, Marketing Director at McDonald’s SA.

GALXBOY(R) McDonald’s merchandise will be available to fans who order the Big Tasty via the app.

One lucky Big Tasty fan stands a chance to win a grand prize trip for two to Bali, Indonesia.

McDonald’s is celebrating 30 years in South Africa.

Thatiso Dube, Founder and Head Designer of GALXBOY, welcomed the partnership with the eatery.

The official said this was a celebration of culture, identity and the power of South African creativity with both brands rooted in youth culture and understanding what it means to be ambitious, authentic and proudly South African.

“We’re not only creating something visually exciting, but we’re also showing the endless possibilities of global and homegrown icons uniting to shift the culture forward,” Dube said.
